The Modern Tiny Home
The first of the cabins: a big stone fire pit you see as you walk up, a screened corner of the deck, direct trail access, and a short walk to an observation deck over the pond.
About The Modern Tiny Home
The Modern Tiny Home is the first of the three cabins, and its guests keep coming back: its reviews go back to 2020, and several say the family has stayed for years, one of them on a fifth visit. It is a custom log cabin on its own wooded property south of Malone, with two big picture windows on the forest and the mountains, a main bedroom and a bunk room, and a deck with a private hot tub. The owner has worked subtle touches of Malone history into the rooms.
The first thing you see as you walk up is the fire pit: a large ring of stone with Adirondack chairs around it. The deck has a small screened-in corner, outdoor dining furniture, a gas grill and the hot tub. A short hike from the cabin reaches an observation deck over a pond, which the listing recommends for wildlife, “from birds to beavers.” One family who spent eight weeks here one summer counted fifty species of birds on the property, ten of them warblers.
Inside there is a full kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave and drip coffee maker, a washer and dryer, an iron, wifi with an ethernet connection and a TV. Air conditioning, ceiling fans and portable fans handle summer; the heating handles the rest of the year, and guests write that the cabin holds its warmth in deep cold. There is no dishwasher and no stove; the Jøtul stoves are at the other two cabins.
For the outdoors, the listing describes direct access to the C7 snowmobile trail, and guests have ridden ATVs from the cabin to the trails. The parking area has plenty of room to bring an ATV or a snowmobile. Titus Mountain is about five minutes away by the listing's count, three and a half road miles. The cabin shares its property with one other cabin: when both are booked, the trail, the observation deck and the parking are shared, and the cabins are set so each keeps its privacy.

My family and I have enjoyed staying at this tiny home for years and it’s always a treat. We look forward to it every year and are always impressed. The location is truly idyllic and offers excellent views as well as peace and quiet. The home is always clean and the craftsmanship really stands out. As far as amenities, they’ve thought of everything and the quality is perfect. It gets really dark at night, which is great for sky watching, but I also appreciate that there are plenty of bright lights throughout the property. It’s simply a great place to…
IlissaAirbnbThis place was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I stayed here an it was everything we wanted. If you want somewhere quiet, relaxing and a gorgeous view of the mountains this is the place. We loved every second!
AvaAirbnbPerfect summer getaway. Far from everything but close enough. Space and amenities are flawless. Everything we need was available and easy to use. Host was perfect. Highly recommended.
JeremyAirbnbPlace was amazing!! Nice place for a weekend getaway, nice and peaceful. So relaxing in the hot tub.
LeaAirbnbGreat location! Extremely quiet even with the neighbors next door to the other place. My friends and myI pregnant girlfriend enjoyed the stars a-swell as the kitchen and massive beds.
JonathanAirbnbSuper clean, cute and cozy!
BrittneyAirbnbGreat place! Such a peaceful cabin in the woods. The cabin next door is close but the way the entrance and windows are, there is a lot of privacy. The hot tub was very nice. The hosts were responsive when the key code did not work the first time. The cabin is well equipped with everything we needed. The cabin is on a rural road, I was happy to have an all wheel drive vehicle to get there.
AliAirbnbGood location,and good hose))
DilrukhAirbnbMy husband and I enjoyed our stay, everything was in order as described. The lights on the trees outside the large windows is a great touch.
LeAnnAirbnbThis place is a gem! It’s just as described - very clean and very cozy. The host was very attentive and responsive, and overall just really great. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!
JenniferAirbnbAfter doing much research this place fit all our needs for a little fall getaway! The place was clean and cozy! Enough privacy that even though we had neighbors the first night we didn't hear them or see them due to how the cabins are set up! Definitely worth the price and if we take a trip back to Malone we will 100% keep this place in mind!
AmandaAirbnbGreat place to stay
